Compass Datacenters is a Dallas-based developer and operator of hyperscale and cloud data center campuses in North America and Europe. It launched in 2012 and is backed by Ontario Teachers, Brookfield Infrastructure and KKR.

Compass lists campuses and developments in Chicago, Meridian, Dallas-Fort Worth, Northern Virginia, Phoenix, Toronto and Milan. The Chicago campus is 200 MW and sits 30 miles west of the city in Hoffman Estates. In Northern Virginia it has a 79 MW hyperscale campus in Loudoun County. Its 360 MW Red Oak development in the Dallas-Fort Worth area is nearing completion, and a 320 MW site at Meridian, 80 miles east of Jackson, broke ground in 2025. Phoenix sites include a 212 MW campus in Goodyear and a 108 MW campus in El Mirage.

- Compass launched in 2012 to bring wholesale data center suites to regional markets, adapted its design for hyperscale customers in 2015, and in 2019 took on investors including RedBird Capital, the Ontario Teachers Pension Fund and Azrieli Group. On June 20, 2023 Data Center Frontier reported that Brookfield Infrastructure and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan would acquire Compass from RedBird and Azrieli, with founder and CEO Chris Crosby and management continuing. Compass now describes itself as backed by Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, Brookfield Infrastructure and KKR. It is headquartered in Dallas, Texas.
- Cooling and water use
- Compass says it builds with industrialized, prefabricated design and advanced hybrid cooling that uses no water during operations, along with responsible energy use and zero-waste construction. It describes its approach as Class A, Community-First, guided by a 100-year neighbor philosophy, and pairs that with a developer checklist covering resource stewardship, good neighbor design, economic impact, building to last and independent verification.
