
The Archer Daniels Midland Decatur plant is a coal-fired power and steam plant on ADM's agricultural processing campus in Decatur, Macon County, Illinois, with 335 megawatts of generating capacity and its newest unit in service since 2005. It supplies electricity to one of the world's largest agricultural processing hubs. Broadwing Energy has signed an agreement with ADM to build a 452 MW gas-fired power plant at the Decatur site that would capture over 90 percent of its CO2.
