Bedford Solar (Dominion) is a 70 MW solar photovoltaic plant in Chesapeake City County. Bedford Solar is a 70 MW solar plant near Fentress in Chesapeake, Virginia, owned by Dominion Energy through Virginia Electric and Power Company. Dominion filed a notice of intent for the project in November 2019, and it began operating in 2021 on 545 acres with more than 150,000 panels on single-axis trackers. It first supplied the state of Virginia exclusively, and Dominion has asked regulators to move it to supplying all its customers. As of November 2025 it was operating.
