Freestone Energy Center is a two-block natural-gas combined-cycle plant near Fairfield in Freestone County, registered as EIA Plant ID 55226. EIA's May 2026 inventory lists six operating generators—four combustion turbines and two steam turbines—with 1,036 MW of nameplate capacity, 1,032 MW of net summer capability, and 1,095.2 MW of net winter capability. Calpine operates the facility through Freestone Power Generation LLC; Calpine is now a business unit of Constellation. The plant's ERCOT resources are organized as the FREC_CC1 and FREC_CC2 combined-cycle blocks.
