Pin Oak Creek Energy Center, LLC

Pin Oak Creek Energy Center, LLC is a 444-MW (net summer) natural-gas simple-cycle peaking facility located at 1366 FM 488 near Fairfield in Freestone County, Texas. The facility comprises two General Electric 7FA.05 combustion turbines (GT5 and GT6), each rated at 212 MW net summer capacity, plus a 1.5 MW diesel emergency generator. (25%), with Freestone as the EIA utility operator. Calpine Corporation developed the project and obtained Texas Energy Fund financing; Constellation Energy acquired Calpine in January 2026, making Pin Oak Creek part of the Constellation fleet.
