Gerald Gentleman is a two-unit coal-fired steam-electric station in Sutherland, Lincoln County, Nebraska, owned and operated by Nebraska Public Power District. Unit 1 entered commercial service in April 1979 with 681.3 MW nameplate capacity and 665 MW summer/winter rated capacity; Unit 2 entered service in January 1982 with 681.3 MW nameplate capacity and 700 MW summer/winter rated capacity. Both units employ conventional steam-coal technology with pulverized-coal combustion and subcritical steam cycles.
