Hardin Solar III is a 250 MW utility-scale solar photovoltaic facility in Hardin County, Ohio, consisting of one generating unit with photovoltaic technology and no energy storage. The facility occupies approximately 1,030 acres within a 1,534-acre project area and includes associated infrastructure such as access roads, an operations and maintenance building, electric collection lines, weather stations, inverters and transformers, and a collection substation. Hardin Solar III is powered by American-made solar panels produced by Illuminate USA and is operated under a long-term services agreement by Invenergy Services, which employs four permanent operations and maintenance staff.
