Harding Street

Harding Street Station, EIA plant 990, is a 1,064.7 MW electric generating facility located at 3700 South Harding Street, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, operated by AES Indiana (Indianapolis Power & Light Company d/b/a AES Indiana) in the MISO region. The station comprises ten operating generators: three natural-gas-fired steam turbines (Units 5, 6, 7; 100, 100, and 463 MW respectively), five combustion turbines and one internal-combustion unit operating on natural gas and/or distillate fuel oil (GT1, GT2, GT4, GT5, GT6, IC1; 26, 26, 83, 83, 161, and 2.7 MW respectively), and one 20 MW lithium-ion battery energy storage system (BAT1). Units 5, 6, and 7 were converted from coal to natural gas between December 2015 and Q2 2016.
