Hunlock Power Station
Hunlock Power Station (EIA plant 3176) is a 145.9 MW natural-gas-fired combined-cycle generating facility located at 390 Route 11, Hunlock Creek, Pennsylvania in Luzerne County. The plant comprises three generators operating as a combined-cycle unit with two combustion turbines (Units 5 and 6) equipped with heat-recovery steam generators and one steam-turbine generator. The plant operates in PJM and is strategically positioned near Marcellus natural-gas supply. A separate 44 MW simple-cycle facility (Hunlock Unit 4) operates at the same site but is a distinct EIA asset.
