Lake Road Generating Plant

Lake Road Generating Plant is an 840 MW natural-gas-fired combined-cycle generating facility located at 56 Alexander Parkway, Dayville, Killingly, Connecticut. The plant comprises three 280 MW single-shaft units (U1–U3), each equipped with an ABB GT24 combustion-turbine generator, heat-recovery steam generator, and condensing steam-turbine generator. The plant is interconnected at the adjacent Lake Road 345 kV substation through a loop connection to the existing Card Street–Sherman Road 345 kV transmission line (Circuit 347). The facility uses air-cooled condensers to reduce local water demand and was constructed with approximately 800 union jobs over three years.
