Lockhart Solar PV, LLC

Lockhart Solar PV, LLC is a solar photovoltaic generation facility with co-located lithium-ion battery energy storage located at 43880 Harper Lake Road, Hinkley, San Bernardino County, California. The facility occupies approximately 1,073 acres on the site of the former SEGS VIII solar-thermal plant, which Terra-Gen converted to photovoltaic generation. The solar generator, identified as LOC1 in EIA/FERC records and marketed as Lockhart I by Terra-Gen, reached commercial operations in 2023 with a nameplate capacity of 100.4 MW (85 MW marketed by the developer). A 69 MW lithium-ion battery storage unit, identified as LHC1 in EIA/FERC records and part of the Lockhart CL I battery expansion, reached commercial operations in January 2026 with 69 MWh of energy capacity. The solar resource is identified in CAISO systems as LCKHT1_2_LH1SR1, and the battery resource as LCKHT1_2_LSCBT1. Terra-Gen, LLC, which is jointly owned by Masdar and Igneo Infrastructure Partners, owns and develops the asset. The facility's battery capacity is fully contracted under 15-year resource-adequacy agreements with Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
