PSEG Salem Generating Station is a nuclear power facility with 2,340 MW of EIA-reported nameplate capacity in Salem County, New Jersey, registered as EIA Plant ID 2410. PSEG Nuclear LLC owns and operates the plant, a subsidiary of Conectiv. PSEG states that the co-located Salem and Hope Creek plants together comprise the fourth-largest nuclear generating facility in the United States. Salem itself is a major two-unit pressurized-water reactor station in the PJM market. Commercial operation began on June 30, 1977.
