RED-Rochester, LLC
RED-Rochester, LLC owns and operates the Eastman Business Park utility system in Rochester, New York, a 1,200-acre district-energy campus. The facility provides electricity, steam, chilled water, wastewater treatment, compressed air, nitrogen, and related utility services to over 100 commercial and industrial customers. The power plant includes six steam-driven turbine-generators totaling 117 MW of capacity, natural-gas-fired boilers at 1,400 and 260 psig, and a 38 MW gas-turbine combined-cycle cogeneration facility. In 2017, RED retired 127 years of continuous coal-fired operations and converted the system to natural-gas fuel.
