Samson Solar Energy
Samson Solar Energy (EIA plant 63211) is a 250 MW solar photovoltaic generating facility located in Franklin, Lamar, Hopkins, and Red River counties in Northeast Texas. Commercial operation began in May 2022. The facility comprises a single 250 MW generating unit (GEN1) using single-axis tracking technology on approximately 2,960 acres. It is the first phase of the larger five-phase Samson Solar Energy Center project. The facility supplies power to AT&T under a long-term power purchase agreement and qualifies for production tax credits.
