Sugar Creek Wind One LLC is a 202 MW onshore wind turbine plant in Logan County. Sugar Creek Wind is a 202 MW wind project in Logan County in central Illinois. Apex Clean Energy acquired it in April 2016 from American Wind Energy Management Corp. and sold it in December 2018 to a wholly owned subsidiary of Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. The project uses 57 Vestas V110 and V150 turbines, and Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives was awarded its construction, with full operation targeted for the fourth quarter of 2020. Apex secured a long-term contract with the Illinois Power Agency for its renewable energy certificates.
