Physical build: The Virginia City Hybrid Energy Center includes two Foster Wheeler fuel-flexible circulating fluidized-bed (CFB) boilers, a single Toshiba 668 MW nameplate steam turbine, and air-quality-control equipment including a dry scrubber, baghouse particulate filter, selective noncatalytic reduction system, and activated-carbon injection system. The project also included erection of the CFB boilers, steam turbine, and a large generator stator.
