Physical build: Pumped-storage hydroelectric facility with two reservoirs formed by earth-fill embankment dams, an approximately 1,800-foot-long, 18-foot-diameter steel penstock, and three reported turbine units: one rated at 112.9 MW and two rated at 137 MW each. A later reservoir-safety project installed two 66,000-pound emergency wheel gates, two 37,500-pound hoist assemblies, remote supervisory controls, a penstock leak-detection system, 164 rock anchors, approximately 2,530 cubic yards of structural concrete, and a new control building. The facility also had its cooling-water piping replaced with a Victaulic grooved stainless-steel system.
