Query contract

Preserve one canonical row per (event_time, path) before aggregating.

Analysis rules

  • Net interchange at one poll: sum(actual_flow_mw) over the three paths at that event_time.

Interpretation

  • event_time is when the collector polled AESO's report (every five minutes), not a time AESO published; the report carries no source timestamp of its own.
  • Positive actual_flow_mw is an export from Alberta; negative is an import. The three paths sum to total net generation less Alberta Internal Load.
