Overview

DAM is hourly; rtm_15m is the 15-minute real-time market. Despite the legacy column name mw_or_price, values in this table are prices in USD/MWh; zero is a valid clearing price.

Query contract

Preserve one canonical row per (event_time, market_run, anc_region, anc_type) before aggregating.

Analysis rules

  • Filter market_run before comparing prices: dam is hourly and rtm_15m is 15-minute real time. Keep regions and products separate; never sum prices.

Interpretation

  • mw_or_price is a legacy column name; values are clearing prices, not procurement MW. Zero is a valid price.
