Delayed bilateral history, not a WEIM price or forecast.

Query contract

Preserve one canonical row per (price_hub, trade_date, delivery_start_date, delivery_end_date) before aggregating.

Analysis rules

  • Read FINAL, filter hub = 'Mid-C' for Mid-Columbia, and keep price_hub/product when comparing product definitions. Other hubs are separate comparison series.
  • event_time labels delivery_start_date at UTC midnight; it is not an hourly observation. Preserve trade_date and both delivery dates; one print can cover several delivery days.

Interpretation

  • EIA updates the public workbook biweekly. Report the latest trade date and publication timestamp; this is delayed history, not a live market feed.
  • file_last_modified is workbook publication, not each trade's original publication. Revisions overwrite prior rows; this table cannot reconstruct a complete as-known-at history.
