Raw text lines and spreadsheet cells from machine-readable public firm, interruptible, offer and capacity-release reports, with source row and member provenance.
This table is not a normalized award ledger: dates, prices, terms and quantities require source-specific interpretation. Reachable feeds may provide only PDFs retained in rights_documents, so an empty result here does not establish zero transactions or zero released capacity.
Query contract
Preserve report_kind, row_kind, source_url, source_member and source_row before interpreting source_record. These raw rows are not normalized awards and must not be summed into capacity or prices.
Analysis rules
·Group only after preserving the declared grain: event_time, pipeline_slug, source_url, source_member, source_row.
Interpretation
·An empty result means no parsed machine-readable rows, not zero transactions. Consult rights_documents for retained PDFs.

Use the guarded HTTP endpoint directly, or connect an MCP client and load the dataset contract with describe_data before calling query_data.
Rule-versioned candidate links between EIA plant gas declarations and native delivery contract points, preserving plant, pipeline, point and contract IDs and the evidence behind each candidate. The current rule requires a matching declared pipeline, proprietary point qualifier, delivery role, END/EGN native location type, geography and distinctive plant name. Read the latest whole event_time snapshot: earlier rule versions include superseded town, station and city-gate matches. A candidate does not prove a dedicated lateral, physical interconnection, available capacity, pipeline pressure, firm deliverability or actual fuel burn.
Provenance and content hashes for original public shipper-contract, firm, interruptible, capacity-release and offer reports, including advertised historical Algonquin and Texas Eastern archives and each individual archive member. The SQL table holds document metadata and original blob pointers, not extracted award economics or PDF text. Individual reports are separately indexed for document search. ZIP containers, overlapping monthly/full-year archives and repeated observations must not be counted as separate commercial transactions. observed_at is capture time; historical publication labels remain native text in titles and source records.
Native Index of Customers records from Algonquin, Tennessee, Texas Eastern and Transco, retaining H/D/A/P/F record types, shipper and contract identifiers, effective and expiration text, raw MDQ values and units, point qualifiers and parent row relationships. D records describe contracts; P records describe their points and are not additional contracts. These are contractual rights declarations, not metered gas flow or capacity-release awards. Use the latest snapshot separately for each pipeline and preserve native units before comparing quantities.
Operationally available capacity postings from the electronic bulletin boards that FERC requires interstate natural gas pipelines to publish, covering 56 pipelines including Transco, Texas Eastern, Algonquin, Tennessee, NGPL, El Paso Natural Gas, CIG, Southern Natural and Northwest. Each row is one metering location on one pipeline for one gas day and nomination cycle, carrying design capacity, operating capacity, operationally available capacity and scheduled quantity in dekatherms. This is physical capacity and physical flow, not price: scheduled_dth is gas actually nominated to move through that point, and the gap between operating capacity and scheduled quantity is the headroom left on that segment. It is the physical layer underneath gas-driven price formation — constrained takeaway or a full segment into a load pocket is what turns a regional gas price away from the national benchmark — and it is the only view here of gas delivery to individual power plants, with locations tagged by category including power_plant (350k rows), citygate (585k) and storage, processing, production, interconnect, industrial and LNG terminal. Coverage is very uneven by pipeline and must be checked before any cross-pipeline comparison: Transwestern reaches back to 2002-03, Transco and Northern Border to 2015-01, and the Enbridge group to 2023-06, but the Kinder Morgan pipelines begin only on 2026-03-04, so a multi-pipeline total over an earlier window silently omits them. 55 of the 56 pipelines are current to within three days. The category column is unlabelled for 81% of rows, so a category filter returns an authoritative subset rather than everything of that kind. Filter on event_time rather than gas_day — the two always hold the same date, but only event_time is indexed, and using it cuts a representative power-plant query from a full scan to three granules. The official source is each pipeline's FERC-mandated electronic bulletin board.
