Interstate Gas Pipeline Point Capacity, All Systems
Every interstate gas pipeline system the map shows, in one shape: operating capacity, operationally available capacity and scheduled quantity in Dth/day for each posted receipt, delivery, storage and segment record.

Overview
It adds the systems whose postings are kept in their operators' native formats (TC Energy's Columbia Gas, ANR, Columbia Gulf and Northern Border; Boardwalk's Gulf South and Texas Gas; National Fuel and Empire; Northwest Pipeline; Tallgrass's Rockies Express, Ruby and Trailblazer) to the normalized table, so a question across pipelines starts here. pipeline_slug names the system as the map does. cycle is timely, evening, id1, id2, id3 or final where the source names one; any other value is the source's own label and is not a nomination cycle. Rows are already one per pipeline, gas day, cycle, location, direction and capture (observed_at): choose the latest observed_at for one cycle and direction to read a report, and never sum cycles or captures. Schedules are accepted nominations, not metered flow or plant burn. Available capacity is posted separately; a record at 98% or more scheduled whose posting still shows meaningful available capacity is a netting or backhaul artifact, not a full point. Category is a name-based classification. raw_record keeps the native evidence.
Query contract
A view: never add FINAL. Select one source cycle and the latest capture (observed_at) per direction; keep every quantity from that same row. Cycle values other than timely, evening, id1, id2, id3 and final are native labels, not nomination cycles. Never forward-fill older locations or cells.
Analysis rules
Filter on event_time, not gas_day, for indexed date selection. observed_at is collection time, not source publication time. The active gas day begins at 09:00 America/Chicago; next-day timely/evening postings are forward schedules.Never sum cycles or report revisions. They revise the same gas-day nominations. Keep receipt, delivery, storage and bidirectional quantities separate.
Interpretation
This table carries no price and cannot establish a gas price, basis or cost. Schedules are nominations, not metered flow, plant burn, transport rights or guaranteed deliverability.Zero posted availability with zero scheduled gas does not establish a full point. Some operators do not publish member-point availability and schedule only at a central roll-up.

Rule-versioned candidate links between EIA plant gas declarations and native delivery contract points, preserving plant, pipeline, point and contract IDs and the evidence behind each candidate. The current rule requires a matching declared pipeline, proprietary point qualifier, delivery role, END/EGN native location type, geography and distinctive plant name. Read the latest whole event_time snapshot: earlier rule versions include superseded town, station and city-gate matches. A candidate does not prove a dedicated lateral, physical interconnection, available capacity, pipeline pressure, firm deliverability or actual fuel burn.
Provenance and content hashes for original public shipper-contract, firm, interruptible, capacity-release and offer reports, including advertised historical Algonquin and Texas Eastern archives and each individual archive member. The SQL table holds document metadata and original blob pointers, not extracted award economics or PDF text. Individual reports are separately indexed for document search. ZIP containers, overlapping monthly/full-year archives and repeated observations must not be counted as separate commercial transactions. observed_at is capture time; historical publication labels remain native text in titles and source records.
Native Index of Customers records from Algonquin, Tennessee, Texas Eastern and Transco, retaining H/D/A/P/F record types, shipper and contract identifiers, effective and expiration text, raw MDQ values and units, point qualifiers and parent row relationships. D records describe contracts; P records describe their points and are not additional contracts. These are contractual rights declarations, not metered gas flow or capacity-release awards. Use the latest snapshot separately for each pipeline and preserve native units before comparing quantities.
Pipeline-posted design, operating and operationally available capacity, with scheduled quantities in Dth/day (one Dth equals one MMBtu). Schedules are accepted nominations, not metered physical flow or plant fuel burn. Keep pipeline, native location ID, direction, gas day, source cycle and report vintage together. Explicit cycle/direction aliases are interpreted downstream; proprietary or historically guessed cycles remain unverified. Never infer a nomination cycle from a posting or effective clock. Available capacity is separately posted and can reflect commercial restrictions, netting or aggregation; zero availability with zero schedule does not establish full utilization. Central delivery points and named groups may overlap physical/member points. Do not sum these into system throughput or complete power-plant demand. Category tags are name-based classifications, not operator-confirmed facility links, and coverage is incomplete. Native evidence is retained in raw_record for source-preserving captures (capture_version 2); older Kinder Morgan and Enbridge captures lack reliable cycle evidence. Choose the latest whole report for one cycle and direction, preserving missing values rather than carrying cells or deleted locations forward. Check freshness and coverage separately for each pipeline.
