Overview

NYISO releases each completed operating day on the following day, so this is a published completed-day estimate rather than a live meter reading.

Query contract

Use FINAL or argMax over ingested_at. For the system value, select zone_name='SYSTEM' directly; the table also contains eleven component zones.

Analysis rules

  • Use zone_name='SYSTEM' for the NYISO-wide total. Never add SYSTEM to the component zones.

Interpretation

  • The value is NYISO's estimated behind-the-meter solar output, not a live meter or utility-scale injection. A completed day is normally published the following day, creating a 14–43 hour reporting lag.
