Overview

event_time is the target hour and evaluated_at_utc is the publication vintage; historical forecast evaluation must select a vintage issued no later than delivery. Score recent output against the Wind row in pjm.gen_by_fuel rather than the lagged settlement-derived wind table. Source: PJM Data Miner 2.

Query contract

For historical scoring, select argMax(wind_forecast_mwh, evaluated_at_utc) with evaluated_at_utc <= event_time. For future targets, cap evaluated_at_utc at the analysis cutoff.

Analysis rules

  • Do not sum issue vintages.
  • Score recent forecasts against the Wind row of pjm.gen_by_fuel; the settlement-derived wind table lags and can contain provisional zeros at the current edge.
