- According to Bisnow, IPI Partners created STACK in 2019, launching it with three data centers that once operated under the Infomart banner and a number of facilities from T5. IPI Partners, headquartered in Chicago, is a joint venture of Iconiq Capital and Iron Point Partners. In October 2024 Bisnow reported that Blue Owl Capital was in talks to acquire IPI Partners; Blue Owl announced completion of its acquisition of IPI's business on January 6, 2025. Bisnow describes STACK as Denver-based.
