Blazing Star Wind Farm 1 is a 200 MW wind project in Lincoln County, Minnesota. Geronimo Energy developed it and applied for the site permit in 2016, and the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission issued the permit in August 2017. Northern States Power Company purchased the project on June 27, 2018. Vestas supplied V120-2.2 MW turbines run in 2.0 MW mode, Xcel Energy contracted Mortenson Construction to build it in 2019-2020, and the permit describes a project substation and a 345 kV transmission line.
