Bridgeport Station is a 576.3 MW natural-gas-fired combined-cycle power plant in Bridgeport, Fairfield County, Connecticut, operated by Generation Bridge II Connecticut, LLC under ArcLight Capital Partners ownership. The facility comprises two EIA generators (501 and 502) that entered commercial operation in June 2019 on the existing Bridgeport Harbor Station site. The plant is dual-fuel capable, using natural gas as the primary fuel with ultra-low-sulfur distillate fuel oil as backup. It replaced the site's legacy coal-fired Unit 3, which was retired by PSEG effective May 31, 2021. The combined-cycle configuration includes a single General Electric 7HA.02 combustion turbine exhausting to a heat-recovery steam generator that drives a single steam turbine.
