Old Trail Wind Farm is a wind project near Ellsworth in McLean County, Illinois, started in 2007 by Houston-based EDP Renewables alongside the neighboring High Trail Wind Farm. McLean County's special use permits require wind farm companies to pay $25,000 per tower into an escrow fund to cover site restoration costs, and in February 2023 the county was negotiating those escrow agreements with EDP Renewables.
