Saddleback is a 9.9 MW battery energy storage system in Reeves County, Texas, owned and operated by HEN Infrastructure, L.L.C. and interconnected through Texas-New Mexico Power Company (TNMP) in the ERCOT West congestion zone. EIA's April 2026 monthly generator inventory carries exactly one operating unit at plant 65834 - generator SDLBK, 9.9 MW nameplate and 9.9 MWh nameplate energy, online since April 2022 - so 9.9 MW is the plant's operating capacity. A second 9.9 MW generator registered under the same plant ID, SDBTD, is a diesel-fired reciprocating-engine peaker that sits in EIA's planned inventory at status "(T) Regulatory approvals received. Not under construction" with a planned in-service date of November 2026; it is not operating and is not part of the operating capacity. The plant is registered as a Distribution Generation Resource (DGR) and participates in ERCOT energy and ancillary-services markets.
