Sand Hill Energy Center is an eight-generator natural-gas facility operated by Austin Energy in Del Valle, Texas. EIA's May 2026 inventory reports 696.4 MW nameplate, 595.8 MW net summer, and 627.8 MW net winter capability. The configuration comprises two combined-cycle generator records that entered service in September 2004 and six combustion turbines: four entered service in June 2001 and two in June 2010. Austin Energy describes Sand Hill as a 595 MW facility combining natural-gas combined-cycle and gas-turbine generation.
