White Bluff

White Bluff is a two-unit conventional steam coal power plant located at 1100 White Bluff Road in Redfield, Jefferson County, Arkansas, near the Arkansas River. EIA plant 6009 consists of two 900 MW nameplate-capacity generators. Unit 1 began operation in August 1980 and Unit 2 in August 1981, making White Bluff Arkansas's first coal-fired electric generating station. The plant is scheduled to cease coal combustion permanently by December 31, 2028.
