This is a forward outage/availability context feed and currently has no full historical archive writer.

Use FINAL or argMax over ingested_at for one forecasted_outage_mw value per future date.

This is NYISO's aggregate forecast of generation unavailable for maintenance. It does not identify units and is not total forced-plus-planned outage capacity.

Use the guarded HTTP endpoint directly, or connect an MCP client and load the dataset contract with describe_data before calling query_data.

Status values include UPDATED, EXTENDED, EXT FORCED, FORCED, DENIED, and CANCELLED, so a DENIED or CANCELLED row is not an outage that took place. Distinct from nyiso.outage_schedule, the date-stamped operational feed of generator and transmission outages.
