Overview

NYISO out-of-merit operator-initiated commitment records by resource PTID and event start time, including requester, commitment type, load zone, reason, ARR, UOL, and committed MW fields.

Query contract

Use FINAL or argMax over ingested_at for each event_time, ptid, and event_start_time identity.

Analysis rules

  • Group only after preserving the declared grain: event_time, ptid, event_start_time.

Interpretation

  • These are operator-initiated out-of-merit commitments, not an ERCOT-style RUC capacity series. A commitment is contextual evidence and does not alone prove it set price.
  • uol_mwh and mw_committed are source strings; parse only values that are explicitly numeric and preserve the source unit labels.
