Allegheny Ridge Wind Farm is an 80 MW wind facility on about 5,000 acres near Portage in Cambria and Blair counties, Pennsylvania, operated by Leeward Renewable Energy. Its 40 Gamesa G87 2.0 MW turbines began operating in 2007, and FirstEnergy agreed to buy the output under a 23-year agreement. LRE is repowering the project by replacing the nacelles and blades on all 40 turbines, with completion scheduled by late 2027.
