Black Rock Wind is a 115 MW onshore wind turbine plant in Mineral County. Black Rock is a 115 MW wind farm spanning Grant and Mineral counties in West Virginia, built by Clearway Energy Group around 23 Siemens Gamesa turbines. Construction was led by Reed & Reed and Bechtel Corporation and began in January 2021, backed by $197 million of construction debt financing. Clearway announced commercial operations in February 2022. Output is contracted under long-term power purchase agreements with Toyota and AEP Energy.
