Brandywine Power Facility

Brandywine Power Facility is an approximately 290 MW natural-gas-fired combined-cycle generating station located in Prince George's County, Maryland, near Washington, D.C. The facility sells capacity, energy, and ancillary services into PJM's PEPCO Zone. Arroyo Energy Investors acquired Brandywine from J.P. Morgan in December 2015 and subsequently sold it in September 2022. Alpha Generation, LLC (AlphaGen), majority owned by ArcLight Capital Partners, acquired the facility from Onward Energy Holdings in May 2026 and currently operates it as part of its independent power producer portfolio.
