Cumberland (NJ)
Cumberland (NJ) is a 231.2 MW natural-gas-fired combustion-turbine power plant at 4001 East Main Street, Millville, Cumberland County, New Jersey, operated by Calpine New Jersey Generation LLC. The facility comprises two generators: CUMB (99.4 MW nameplate, operating since May 1990) and CUMB2 (131.8 MW nameplate, operating since June 2009). Both units can use kerosene as a secondary fuel. According to a PJM notice dated August 26, 2024, the CUMB unit is scheduled for deactivation effective June 1, 2027, due to the facility's inability to comply with finalized New Jersey carbon-emissions regulations in the 2027/2028 delivery year.
