Pilot Hill Wind Farm is a 175 MW onshore wind facility located in Kankakee and Iroquois Counties, Illinois, comprising 103 GE wind turbines (91 × GE 1.7-100 and 12 × GE 1.85-87 units). The project reached commercial operation on September 26, 2015, and is owned by Pilot Hill Wind, LLC. EDF Renewable Asset Holdings, Inc. Microsoft Corporation holds a 20-year power purchase agreement covering 100% of the project's output for its Illinois data center. The facility generates approximately 588.6 GWh annually and avoids approximately 365,000–374,000 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions per year.
