Pleasants Power Station is a 1,368 MW coal-fired power plant located in Willow Island, Pleasants County, West Virginia, on the Ohio River south bank, 15 miles east of Parkersburg. It consists of two identical supercritical steam-coal units, each rated at 684 MW nameplate capacity. The facility uses bituminous coal as its primary fuel with natural gas for startup. The plant includes selective catalytic reduction and electrostatic precipitator controls. It is interconnected to PJM at 500 kV through generator step-up transformers and is operated by Omnis Pleasants, LLC.
