River Bend is a single-unit boiling-water nuclear generating station in St. Francisville, Louisiana, in West Feliciana Parish, approximately 24 miles northwest of Baton Rouge. Entergy Louisiana, LLC is the current owner-licensee; Entergy Operations, Inc. is the licensed operator under renewed Facility Operating License NPF-47. The facility is equipped with a General Electric Type 6 boiling-water reactor with Mark III containment and a GE-supplied steam turbine generator. EIA reports 1,035.9 MW of nameplate capacity as of June 2026. The station operates in the MISO balancing authority. The renewed operating license expires August 29, 2045.
