Manulife Investment Management committed $225 million to form HEN Infrastructure, L.L.C., a joint venture with Hunt Energy Network to develop and operate a portfolio of distribution-level energy storage assets in ERCOT. Sandlake was later developed as part of this portfolio.
Manulife Investment Management announced a separate $250 million funding commitment to Hunt Energy Network for additional dispatchable energy and generation assets. The commitment is distinct from the March 2021 HEN Infrastructure venture capital.
