Walnut Ridge Wind Farm is a 212 MW onshore wind turbine plant in Bureau County. Walnut Ridge is a 212 MW wind farm in Bureau County, Illinois, owned by BHE Renewables and operational since 2018. Its 106 turbines span 17,300 acres and supply the equivalent of about 90,000 homes. The project uses WEST Environmental Services for bird and bat studies. About two thirds of the generation is sold to the federal General Services Administration, and the balance is sold into the PJM market.
