Bishop Hill Energy LLC is a 200 MW onshore wind turbine plant in Henry County. Bishop Hill is a 200 MW wind farm in Henry County, Illinois, developed and operated by Invenergy. Its 133 General Electric turbines sit on 22,000 acres of farmland, and 49 of the 1.6 MW units carry 100-meter rotors, a first for a US project. At commissioning, fourteen full-time Invenergy employees operated and maintained the site. Gemma Power Systems built it, and the farm reached full commercial operation in July 2012.
