The plant consists of simple-cycle peaking combustion turbines fueled by distillate fuel oil (No. The facility includes seven 32.5 MW units in operating status and one 32.5 MW unit out of service, totaling 227.5 MW of nameplate capacity. The plant is interconnected to PJM Interconnection at 138 kV through Commonwealth Edison transmission infrastructure and serves as peaking generation for local demand balancing and grid reliability. Fisk Street is separate from the retired coal Unit 19 (374.1 MW, retired August 2012) historically associated with Fisk Generating Station.
