General James M. Gavin Power Plant is an operating 2,600-MW coal-fired power station in Cheshire, Gallia County, Ohio, comprising two 1,300-MW pulverized-coal steam units that commenced operation in October 1974 and July 1975 respectively. Each unit is equipped with selective catalytic reduction for nitrogen oxide control, electrostatic precipitators, and wet flue-gas desulfurization scrubbers installed in 1994–1995. (40%), and operated by Gavin Power, LLC.
