A balancing area with no organized wholesale market
Florida Power & Light dispatches its own system within the Eastern Interconnection. There is no ISO or RTO clearing price to chart, so the map shows operating conditions and infrastructure rather than prices. FPL's balancing area has its own map, separate from Duke Energy Florida.
Demand, the day-ahead demand forecast, generation by fuel and exchanges with each neighbor come from EIA-930 hourly reports, shown with their reported observation time. Territories are drawn from the retail service areas filed under the balancing area, and the plants, substations and transmission lines inside them keep their published identities.
