What this shows
Where Dominion Hub is
Dominion Hub is the average price of buses in the Dominion zone, covering most of Virginia and northeastern North Carolina, including Northern Virginia's data centers.
What moves it
Fast-growing data center load and limited import capacity into Northern Virginia. Dominion separates from Western Hub when those import paths bind.
How the averages are measured
Each average is the mean of PJM's hourly real-time LMPs at the hub in the period, by Eastern prevailing time. PJM publishes them about a day after the hour, so the latest full day is yesterday's.
What people ask
What is the PJM Dominion Hub price today?
The panel above shows the latest real-time price at DOMINION HUB and today's average so far, in $/MWh. It refreshes every minute.
How is the monthly average calculated?
Each average is the mean of PJM's hourly real-time LMPs at the hub in the period, by Eastern prevailing time. PJM publishes them about a day after the hour, so the latest full day is yesterday's. Week to date starts on Monday; month to date starts on the 1st.
Is this the day-ahead or the real-time price?
Real time. Day-ahead prices clear a day earlier and usually differ, most of all on days when real-time conditions surprise the forecast.
