Western Hub is the average price of a set of buses in the western Mid-Atlantic, across Pennsylvania, Maryland and neighboring zones. It is the most traded point in PJM.
PJM-wide demand, gas prices at the eastern pipelines, and how much capacity is available. Heat waves and cold snaps move it most.
Each average is the mean of PJM's hourly real-time LMPs at the hub in the period, by Eastern prevailing time. PJM publishes them about a day after the hour, so the latest full day is yesterday's.
