DataBank operates 70+ data centers across 25+ U.S. metro markets, and says this puts enterprise workloads within 100 miles of more than 60% of the U.S. population. The company sells colocation, cloud, networking and data protection. Its facilities are grouped by region, with West, Central, South and East metros listed on its site, plus a United Kingdom data center. Its standard designs are engineered for the power and cooling density that modern workloads require.

- DataBank Ltd. was founded in 2005 in a former Federal Reserve Bank building in downtown Dallas. In July 2016 it was acquired by a group of investors led by DigitalBridge. Its investor page also lists Swiss Life Asset Management and AustralianSuper. Growth followed through acquisitions: three Salt Lake City-area data centers from C7 Data Centers and two data centers in Cleveland and Pittsburgh from 365 Data Centers in January 2017, Lightbound of Indianapolis in December 2018, zColo's U.S. and U.K. assets in December 2020, and four Houston-area data centers from CyrusOne for $670M in January 2022.

- DataBank says it has set a Scope 1 and 2 net zero emissions goal by 2030, pursued through energy-efficient standard designs, efficiency retrofits, innovative technologies and purchased renewable power. It reports that most of its emissions come from purchased electrical power. It tracks energy consumption, energy intensity and PUE, reporting them to its Board of Directors quarterly and to the public annually. Its standard designs use air-cooled units with free cooling and closed-loop chilled-water systems that recycle water.
